Points

A record of the points earned, adjusted, and redeemed by your team

Updated today

The Points component is a tool to track the points for your team. It allows you to view the earnings and history for your organization as a whole and for individual workers.

This tool is integrally tied to our Culture & Recognition program. While the Rewards component holds the catalogue for the products offered as Rewards and a log of the redemption history for items from the catalogue, the Points component details the accumulation and redemption of Points from various sources throughout the software, including Scratch Cards and Kudos & Core Values.

As we increase the offerings within our Culture & Recognition components, the Points component will become a greater hub of information!

Worker Balance

In the Worker Balance tab, you will see a table of all the Workers within your organization and their Points balance.

The table includes information for each Worker, including their:

  • Name and Position

  • Location and Division (if applicable)

  • Current point balance

To locate specific Workers or groups of Workers, you can use the Search field at the top right of the table or you can add a filter to the list to find folks according to the possible filter options.

The table also contains a column for points adjustments, allowing you to add to or deduct from the points for an individual Worker. To adjust points for a Worker, simply locate their name in the list and click into the Add Points field for their listing. Type in the number of points you want to add or deduct from that Worker.

For each adjustment you make, you also need to enter a reason for it in the Notes field in the column to the right. That reason will be catalogued in the component, but if you would also like to notify the Worker of the adjustment, click the bell icon. Doing so will bring up a pop-up to send a notification to your Worker by email, SMS, or both. You can enter the reason in the Reason Given to Worker field and click Continue when you're ready.

When you're ready, click Save Adjustments to finalize your decision.

It is possible to both add and deduct points from Workers. While the option to deduct points is available, we strongly advise against using point deductions unless absolutely necessary.

Points are intended to incentivize workplace safety rather than penalize mistakes.

Add Points By

If you would like to award points to Workers based on Position or Location rather than to individuals, you can do that! At the top right of the Worker Balance page, click Add Points By and choose Position or Location.

A pop-up will appear for you asking for the Locations or Positions you want to adjust points for, the number of points you want to add, an Admin Note, and a reason given to Worker for the adjustment. Click Continue to finalize your decision.

It's also possible to choose all Locations or Positions, meaning you can add points to all your Workers in one easy step!

Adjustment History

At the top of the Worker Balance screen, the Adjustment History button will highlight for you the changes to points for Workers outside of their ordinary accruals and redemptions. That includes manual points adjustments as well as point reimbursements for cancelled Rewards orders.

The table will include the reason provided to the Worker and the Notes included by the admin for the adjustment. In cases of Rewards order cancellations, the fields will autofill with messages from Workhub.

Worker History

The Worker History tab will include all the history for points for your Workers. This includes accruals and deductions from submissions and completions of tasks and training, point redemptions for Rewards, Anniversary gift selections, and Scratch Cards points. You can filter this list using the Add Filter button or you can use the Search field to find particular Workers.

Cost Configurator

If you would be interested in evaluating if the Rewards program is tenable for your organization, we provide a Cost Configurator within our Points component.

The Cost Configurator allows you to project how many points members of your organization could be redeeming based on assignments. The configurator allows you to alter values for your:

  • Number of Workers

  • Number of assigned items within a component

  • Number of points awarded per completion

  • Length of recurring period of validity for the items

After making your alterations, the system will calculate the number of points a Worker could earn in one year.

This value is an average of the values you have entered into the page. The actual accruals by Workers may vary based on the number of assignments they have and the frequency with which they are completed.

If any of your components have not been active for a long enough period, they will appear with a gold warning triangle to indicate the forecasted value may not be accurate.
