How to review a Policy as a Worker

How to make sure you're up-to-date with your organization's policies

Updated over a week ago

As a worker, you may be assigned Policies by the admins for your organization. To be considered compliant for your Policies, you'll need to review and acknowledge them. Here's a guide on how to do so.

If you have Policies that need review, you can log in to your Workhub account and click or tap into the Policies component. The dashboard tile will show you how many Courses you have done (in green) and how many Lessons you have left to do (in red).

Within the Policies component, the first screen you will see will contain any Policies that are listed as To Do for you. They will be shown with a red bar on the left and a status of To Do.

To review a Policy, simply click or tap it in the list.

Take your time to review the Policy and ensure you understand the contents.

If the admins for your organization have set a specific amount of time they would like Workers to review the Policy, you will see a yellow banner at the bottom of the Policy document specifying how long that period is. The timer in it will count down the time you have left! After that time has elapsed, the banner will offer you two buttons: Decline and Acknowledge.

The messaging to go with the banner will differ a little bit depending on if it's your first time reviewing the Policy or if there have been changes to it and they require your review, but the choices will still exist!

Choosing Acknowledge will mark you as compliant for the Policy.

Choosing Decline will not mark you as compliant for the Policy, and you will be prompted to add a reason for your declination. That reason will be recorded for your organization's admin to review. They may discuss your decline with you.

In some cases, your administrator may have turned off the ability for you to Decline. In those cases, the Decline button will be greyed out. Hovering over the Decline button will show you a message indicating it is not available.

If you do not agree with the Policy and do not wish to Acknowledge it, you need to contact the administrator for your organization's account to discuss the Policy.

At the top right corner of a Policy you may see a Download button. You can use that button to download a PDF copy of the Policy document. Please be aware that some Policies may contain watermarks, this is dependent on your Plan.

If you choose, you may add a comment to a Policy. To comment on a Policy, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click or tap into the text line to the right of your avatar or initials.

Depending on the settings in place from your admins, the comment may automatically be posted for other workers and admins to see, or it may need to be approved first. If your comment requires approval, it will appear with a gold bar and a status of Pending approval.

Once your comment has been approved by an admin, the gold bar will disappear and your comment will appear for everyone.

You can also choose to reply to other workers' comments. To do so, click the reply button beneath their comment. Enter your reply in the text field that appears.

You can also click the thumbs up icon to indicate you agree with someone else's comment on the Policy.
